Lawrence Extended Day Program
Organizational Purpose
LEDP provides high-quality after-school programming throughout the school year to as many K–6 students from working families as possible within the Lawrence community, while ensuring a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment. Currently, LEDP serves approximately 25% of Lawrence families.
Vision
The Lawrence Extended Day Program is dedicated to stimulating students’ intellectual curiosity by exposing them to new ideas and enriching their character development by broadening their sense of community and service.
Mission
LEDP strives to provide a safe, comprehensive, consistent, and student-focused after-school program for K–6 students. The program is led by highly qualified professionals who align programming with the in-school academic curriculum and a socially conscious service philosophy. A parent-led Board oversees the program and works alongside staff to support students, families, teachers, and the broader Brookline community.
